My Place to Rant
This blog is the every day rantings of a 44 year old mad woman. Just kidding. It is my rantings, but I don't think I am mad...we have been in the Upper Peninsula now for 2-1/2 years and things are still great. Miss my family in Texas though. Love Ya'll!!

The Leaves They Are A Changin...

It's definately getting that time of year. Mark said that the weather channel people said it is going to be in the high 30's tonight. I saw 49 but we'll see. It is already cool out. We were sitting outside and I was taking some pictures and I had to have a jacket. Just a light one though. YEAH!! I love fall up here!
Oh Well...enjoy the pics.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Fall!
Yesterday it was wet and very cool. I think the high was only about 65. I called my mom and was bragging. They are having temps in the 90's and lots of humidity and no rain.
We went to eat chinese food last night and I had to wear a light jacket! I love this time of year. Within the next month or so the leaves will start changing and all will be right with the world. Then the leaves will fall and here comes the white stuff. The ones in the know are saying we are going to have a lot of snow this year. We'll see.
The city re-surfaced the alley the last couple of days and we drove down it yesterday. It is so great. Now the snow won't be that big of a problem. The city plows it anyway.
I had that awful high school dream again last night. It was the first day of school and I was a Junior and I got my schedule and all but I couldn't find my classes or my locker. I hadn't had the high school dream for a long time. I was hoping that since I hadn't had this dream for quite some time that it was gone forever...but I guess not.
Well, I have lots to do and I need to go to Wal-mart and Mark HAS to get a haircut. He could almost put it in a ponytail!
Have a great weekend!

In Loving Memory...

A dear sweet lady, Dorothy Ted Wear passed away on August 16. She was my mom's cousin and a very special lady. She was in an automobile accident in 1970 with her husband and he was killed. She had many painful surgeries afterward and her feet were never completely right but was always a fighter. Everyone will have their own special memories as I will. She will be missed by many. We love you Teddy!

No Pictures Today
Did you ever feel like you just wanted to be alone? You didn't want anyone around you or to bother you, hug you, kiss you, talk to you? That is exactly how I feel today. Or this evening I should say. I am having a pitty party so if you want to stop reading now...that was your only warning.
So, after Big Brother was over I wanted to watch the Cubs/Astros game. I love my Astros and the only time I get to watch them is when they play a Chicago or Michigan team. So, I wanted to watch. Well, I got grief over it. (Ok we have 6 televisions in this house!!) So I decided I was just going to go upstairs and watch. More grief. THen Mark is wanting to hug on me and make it all better and I just don't want to be. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
So, I came upstairs and was watching the Astros lose...well they are like in the 5th inning and the Cubs are winning 5-2. So, I was flipping to see what else is on and I came across THe Gaither Vocal Band, which for those who don't know, is a Gospel music group...my favorite kind of music in the world. Anyway, so I've been watching that...trying to get a better attitude towards my family. Poor me. Don't ya feel sorry for me? Yeah, me either.
So, I am also having trouble sleeping at night. I was up ever hour last night going to the bathroom. I am so tired today. SO I decided not to drink anything after 6:30. I don't know if I am going to be able to handle it though. I am so thirsty.
Ok..I guess that's all my gripes tonight. Take care. Bye! Just a note...the score is now bottom of the 6th...Cubs 5, Houston 4!! GO STROS!!!

The Kitchen...Finally
It seems the kitchen is always the last thing that I ever show. I guess because it is the most used and I just now got it all taken care of. I love my kitchen. I have a under-the-counter radio/tv that I watch cooking shows on or whatever when I am in the kitchen. It's great. Oh well. I hope you enjoy!! PS..Is there any relief for this heat?????
Bye!

Stove and ugly microwave that will be removed and a cabinet put up there with an under the cabinet microwave put there. One of the many projects we still have to do. To the right of the stove is recipes, recipes, recipes!!! Beside the cabinet is my trash can that my Daddy made me. Isn't it great? To the left, canisters, spices and my crock of utensils. I just noticed the cup towel on the stove is all disheveled. Oh well.
