Gotta Get Those Activity Points!!!

The hardest thing in the world for me is to exercise. This weekend we are celebrating my birthday a week early and have come up to Hought, MI. (It's in the UP..way UP!!) Anyway, so we didn't do so good eating this morning or for lunch but the motel we are staying at has a workout room and so we went there this evening trying to repent. My goal was to walk .50 mile on the treadmill (I know to you skinny, active people this sounds rediculous but to this 350+ person who never exercises, it was a goal.) and I got to .30...my lungs started hurting. (Remember I have asthma.) They have to get conditioned too. Anyway, so then I sat down and and did the bicycle and I did .25 on it. That was it. Mark's goal was .50 and he did .51 on the treadmill. I'm so proud. Here are pics. Love ya!

ANOTHER RIDE ON THE ROLLER COASTER

Mark and I joined Weight Watchers At Work program on the 11th of this month. So far we have done great. I have lost 22 lbs as of yesterday's weigh in and Mark has lost 12 lbs.

I have so much energy. I feel good and I am happy. Things that haven't been in a long time. I will be 44 next Friday. I feel better than I have in years. So, I guess that's all. Come back for updates.

P.S. No excuse not to go to meetings...they are 3 feet away from Mark's office!!!

Bye!

Woldt Hall

Jeremy's tiny little bed. I made it up for him before we left.

Another shot of the little bed.

Front of Woldt Hall.

I guess I should be comforted to know that his bathroom is a
tornado shelter.

The bathroom/tornado shelter.

Jeremy arranging his desk.

The living room of his dorm.

The sign. Mark was an RA in Emmons when he was in college. Jeremy's is Woldt.

Their phone in the living room. I'm sure it will get a work-out.

His name was already on the door. Made him feel better.

Jeremy sitting at the desk, arranging desk.

So, today is his first day of classes. He called me and had gotten to his first class and was waiting till it was time to go in. I think he is going to be just fine. It started snowing after we left so now there is a blanket of snow on the ground there. (Here too.)
Jeremy's goal is to make the Dean's list. I will keep you informed.
Take care!

Central Michigan University

This is Jeremy's home for the next 2 or 3 years.

The main hall, Warriner. This is where the administration is.

Mark and Jeremy going through the catalog trying to schedule classes.

Well, we are here. We went to orientation this morning. Jeremy had his and they had a parent one also. It has been fun. Interesting. Jeremy is excited. Mark is happy to be back at his old school. I am so glad that he graduated from here because he has known a lot of the shortcuts.

We decided to stay at the Comfort Inn. It's a lot less hassle with the dog. Mark's neice has allergies and I wouldn't want to cause any problems. We are more comfortable here too. The beds are great and we are getting the government rate.

Jeremy still doesn't know when he will get his housing assignment. They are a bit back-logged. He did get his ID. He didn't get in any of the classes he wanted because it is so late but he is taking the advisor's advice and is logging online to see if anyone has dropped out of the classes he wants so he can get in. If not, he has a schedule. He will have to take the other ones next semester.

You know, it's really not as expensive as I thought it was going to be...so far. His courses are going to cost about $3,000.00 and his housing and meal plan will be about 3500.00. Plus we have to buy the books.

So, here are a few pics. Enjoy. I'm sure I will add more before we are done on Sunday.

Later!!

Happy 2007!!!

I made it to midnight. We had a glass of sparkling red wine and toasted to 2007, I kissed Mark, Jeremy and Heidi and went to bed. My wish for my family in 2007 is health, happiness and prosperity. My wish for my country is peace in 2007. I pray that we can end the war and bring our troops home. Yes, I support the troops and the President, but I think it is time. I don't know what else we can do over there.

I quit making New Years Resolutions because I always break them. Today I will be making the typical black-eyed peas and cabbage for New Years dinner. It must be a southern thing because Mark had never heard of eating them for New Years until we were married.

Please pray for my Jeremy. We will be taking him downstate to Central Michigan University on Thursday and his classes will start on Monday. He is a bit nervous. So am I. I know that he will do good. Say a little prayer.

My wish for you is health and happiness in 2007!

Love,

Robbyn
