Looking Better and Better

Mark's Mom and sister will be here in a couple of hours and the house is looking GOOOOOOOD!! The dining room and guest room are done. There are some boxes stacked beside the hutch because they are pictures and we have to decide if and where they are going.

The big thing is our bedroom upstairs. It has sort of been the dumping ground. I will have plenty of time to take care of it though. The boys are in the kitchen cleaning it so I should go and supervise. Take care. Look for more pics!!

This is where the sewing cabinet is going. The stool is already there. The cabinet is in the garage. It will be in the house tonight. Posted by Picasa

Guest room from the door view. Yes, the guest room has the washer and dryer in it. Hey, it's better than being in the basement!!! There is a bench next to the dryer that has the worst looking shag carpet to cover the lid and inside it I keep blankets and pillows. I am definately re-covering it. Posted by Picasa

Guest room Daybed. Thank you Hedy. I love the comforter set but I can't get the wrinkles out!!  Posted by Picasa

Things Are Taking Shape

Things are looking up! The new carpet is in and it is beautiful. There are only a few more boxes and then we are done!! I should have the dining room, kitchen and guest room finished tomorrow. At night when we go upstairs we work on our room.

The pictures are a little dark. The carpet is a very light sage green color. It is really beautiful. I hate the color of the walls but that's what it turned out to be so we have to live with it for a while anyway. If you notice in the picture of the curio cabinet, the door next to it is the basement door. It is getting painted solid white. I hate the stamps. I don't know what those people were thinking. Anyway. Everyone is welcome at our house. We can't wait to have guests. Come on over!!!

This is what is left to do in the dining room and then I can put the table and chairs in there. It should be finished tomorrow. Posted by Picasa

Blue spruce in the yard. I think they are so pretty. This one needs a little trimming.  Posted by Picasa

My favorite place. The backyard. We have really enjoyed sitting outside and eating. Mark grilled hamburgers last night and we all ate out there. It was great. A little chilly though. Posted by Picasa

Mark painting the flag pole. This was an ugly black rusty pole and we weren't sure what it was for so we bought a ball and painted it white and tomorrow the flag will go up on it. We also have a light that we are going to shine on it so it will be pretty at night too. Posted by Picasa

Micro house that is across the street from us. It just sold. New people haven't moved in yet. It is so tiny!! Posted by Picasa

SICK!!!

Well, we got moved...mostly. Jeremy was sick during the move. He tried to help as much as he could, and of course we thought maybe he was trying to get out of work but you could tell after a while that he was really sick. So, then come to find out, the guy that helped us move, Dave is sicker than a dog too! Same stuff!! Then, Tuesday when we were at the lake house trying to get it finished packed up, I started getting sick. I have been all week. It has really been a bummer too. I thought I would die on Wednesday. I have all these boxes that I need to empty and my new house is a mess and I can't do anything about it. Now go figure this one out...Mark hasn't gotten it at all. He said he doesn't get sick. When he does it is really bad. I can't ever remember him ever being really sick...unless it was kidney stones or something like that. Oh well. He has been doing stuff at night when he gets home to help out.

I love my house. I took a shower this morning hoping it would make me feel better. I do a little so I need to get going. Heidi got in to a trash bag and pulled out all of my kleenexes and went to town on them so that is my first job. Sometimes I would like to hang her by her toes!!!

Oh well. Be checking back for update pictures of the house! It's going to be great!

Love Love!!!
