I decided it was time to write about our trip to Minneapolis, MN. It was nice but so expensive. We stayed at the Hilton downtown and all of the restaurants around it were so expensive. There was a Chipolte that we ate at a couple of times that wasn't too bad.
I went to the Mall of America on Monday. It is huge!! I took the lightrail out to it. Then walked back from the lightrail station to the hotel. (7 blocks and it was rather warm.) Anyway, Mall of America (MOA) was great. It was huge. There were some neat stores in there. Build-a-Bear Workshop, BOWWOW MEOW, For Barefeet Only and many many more. I bought a couple of things on Monday like yogurt covered milk bones for Heidi, a pair of socks with dolphins on them for me. At MOA they don't charge sales tax on clothing. Anyway, but there was so many stores I wanted to share with Mark so I didn't really buy that much. We went back on Saturday and spent the day. When I got back on Monday after all that good walking, my calves hurt so bad the next day I thought I was going to die!!
We went to Build-A-Bear first because we knew the lines would be long on Saturday. On Monday there were 1/4 of the people there were on Saturday. It was packed on Saturday.
Mark made Jeremy a monkey. He named him Funky Monkey, but Jeremy has renamed him "Pizza Butt". Long story. Anyway, Jeremy loved it. We got a voice box put in it and it is a monkey sound. Jeremy is driving us crazy with the monkey sound!!
Mark got a black bear, (his new fascination is black bears) and it's voice box says "I Love You".
We ate some pretty good bar-b-q at MOA and had a good time.
I forgot to tell you that he was done on Friday about noon and we went out to an outlet mall to get Jeremy some pants and we went to the movies. We saw Almost Heaven, or Just like Heaven...anyway, it was soooooooooo good!!!
Anyway, then we left and came home on Sunday morning. We were so excited to get home and see the kids (Jeremy, Heidi and Abby) that we didn't stop one time. 5 hour drive and not a stop. That's a record for us.
Ok. I guess that's all I have to say. I have decided that if Mark goes to any more of these things that I probably won't go. It did get better once we realized that there was a convience store in the skyway to the Hilton that had sandwiches and didn't bankrupt us.
He leaves for Washington DC on the 10th. Oh well. I knew when he took this job he would be traveling alot. He will be back on the 13th. He has to go to help on a special project. He is really excited. He might even meet President Bush. Wish I could.
That's it. Take care and enjoy the pictures
