The Joys of Hot Water

Monday morning I was getting ready to wash dishes and all I got was cold water out of the tap. Our water is usually very hot which I love and for some reason it wasn't. Jeremy and Mark had gone up to Marquette to see Northern Michigan University and so when they got home I told him about it (oh they brought his chair Monday also. IT"S NICE!!!) ok...so he called the guy that manages this house (Dick) and he said he would have someone out here Tuesday. So, at 9:00 a.m. Dick was here. I was boiling water to wash dishes. Not fun. Anyway, so he came and broke some stuff and decided that he would bring a plumber the next morning. None of us had taken a shower in three days now. The water that comes out of the tap is very cold. (Especially with the hot water heater broken.) So...naturally it was getting pretty stinky around here!!! So, this morning they came and fixed it and boy we were showering all morning!!! It felt soooooo good!! You never realize how you take something for granted until you don't have it. Hot water is precious!!!

Ok. That's all for now. Oh, it was warmer today. High was 30 and NO wind!! It was great!! We went out and picked up Jeremy's glasses and a few things at the grocery store and washed the salt off the car at the car wash. The only gripe I have about the snow is when it warms up and it melts a little on the parking lots it is like a Coke Icee...all slush and dirty and ugly. It's supposed to SNRAIN tomorrow. (If you don't know what snrain is, look down a few entries and I explain it.)

Take care all!!! Only two more days left in 2004!

THE RAT

I am famous for having weird dreams. I could probably write a comedy book about most of them and it would be a number 1 seller. Last night was no exception. I had two doosies!!

First one...I, Robbyn Frazee found out I was pregnant. Now, being almost 42 years old and remembering what the kidney doctor told me, I was a little nervous, but I was pregnant. (I think it is because I was playing SIMS 2 for a while last night and that was the last thing I did and my sim was pregnant.) Anyway, Mark was so attentive and loving and caring. Maybe I SHOULD get pregnant. No, just kidding. He is very loving and caring and attentive when I push him. Basically it was just a dream of me being pregnant. Then the dog wanted attention so I woke up. When I got back to sleep I dreamed that me and Jeremy were in the basement doing something, and I saw that a mouse (rather large one) was in the mouse trap that we had set down there. (no we don't have mice in the basement...this was just in the dream.) I told him to pick up the trap and bring it to me so I could dump it. It must have been Spring or Summer because Mark was outside doing yard stuff. Anyway, so Jeremy bent over to pick up the trap and it ran!!! It was a big huge rat!!! It was eating the cheese that was on the trap. Ok. I don't put cheese on traps in reality. I put peanut butter, but anyway...so, I yeld for Mark to come down there and he came running. I think I was screaming "A rat!! A rat!!" If anyone knows my experience with vermin they will understand that I am terrified of mice, rats, rodents of any kind. Anyway, so he came running and I said there is a rat over there!! It was under a bench that we have in the basement. Ok, so, Mark said he would catch it. So, he ran around the basement in a circle twice and then jumped down and tried to catch the rat and it ran, well Heidi was there ready to pounce and she caught it. Mark got it from her and brought it over to me. It was the ugliest, scariest thing I have ever seen. I started screaming and told him to get it away from me and kill it. Then the dog needed attention and I woke up. Oh my.

So, I definately have some whopper dreams. I hope that all of your dreams are sweet ones.

The Day After...Or....A Day Late.....Or Ouch My Back Hurts

While everyone was enjoying their Christmas Dinners yesterday, I was in bed. My back went out on me yesterday morning. I managed to get breakfast cooked and presents opened. That was it. So, we had cold cuts, crackers and cheese for lunch and Velveeta Cheese dip with chips for dinner. My back hurt so bad I couldn't hardly move. At midnight I was in tears. (I wanted my momma...but she is far away...you can grow up but there will always be a little girl or little boy inside you.) So, I finally got to sleep. Phone rang this morning for our weekly Sunday call from Betty. I got up and cleaned the kitchen. No, it wasn't done. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done. So, ...no wait, Jeremy did clean it for me Christmas Eve. Anyway, I cleaned the kitchen and then started on my pies, next ham, potatoes, corn casserole, homemade yeast rolls, salad, etc. It's almost ready. Just waiting for Mark to get back from the store to put the rolls in. So, we are having our Christmas dinner a day late. Oh, my back is better, still a little tender, but much better.

Tonight I am taking down the Christmas tree. I know...your supposed to leave it up until New Years Day but I want it down. Mark and Jeremy are going to Northern Michigan tomorrow in Marquette and I am cleaning this nasty house!!! The last couple of days it has gone to pot. I am not going to let my house get as bad as the one in Rosenberg did. I refuse!!

As the New Year approaches I am starting to think of healthy meals that I am going to fix for my family. We are all going on diets. We have a bet that who ever loses the most by the time Jeremy moves up here in June gets $100.00. Wish us luck!!!

It starts January 2nd. Jeremy will go back to Houston on the 14th. He is on his own then.

Ok...hope you had a great holiday.

Love to all!!!

Merry Christmas to All

We have had a wonderful Christmas. We are so blessed. I got too much. Mark got too much and Jeremy got...well, just ask him!! I got a sewing table with bench. A watch, birthstone earings, Touched by An Angel first season and various other things. Jeremy loves his computer and all of his stuff. Mark was shocked to see Star Gate 7. I told him there was no way I was buying it for him.

We also had a very white Christmas. It has been snowing since I got up at 7:00. Someone across the lake got snowmobiles. They are flying across it as we speak. We are having to wait until tomorrow for our Christmas dinner. I hurt my back and I can barely move. I am going to fix cheese dip and spinach and artichoke dip and cold cuts for dinner today. Ham and all the fixings tomorrow.

It is our wish for Peace, Health and Happiness for all of our friends and family for the New Year!! We also wish peace for our country and we offer up our prayers for our leaders and our military men and women.

Remember, Jesus is the reason we even have Christmas.

My loving parents. Mom sent me some pictures in the mail and this was one of them and I took it to Wal-mart and had it blown up to an 8 x 10. I told her she wasn't getting the small one back but now she can have it. What a beautiful picture. It brought tears to my eyes. Love ya'll!! Posted by Hello

This is Buddy. He is my Christmas Parakeet. My son Jeremy got him for me and the cage and stuff. He was a little shy in the beginning but I put a tangerine in his cage and he came to life. The cat is interested. The first thing he is going to say is "Get down Abby!".  Posted by Hello

Oh Christmas Tree.....Oh boy...

Well, the tree is up, lights on it and all of our precious family ornaments are on it...but it looks bare. We are going to get some balls to put on it tomorrow. It looks a little week. I wish I could decorate a tree like they do in the malls and stores. Ours is always lacking. One year mom and dad had the most beautiful tree. It was huge and it was in the dining room at our house on Bisley. That was the most beautiful tree they had ever had. Anyway, hopefully when we get the balls and candy canes on it it will look better.

As we were going through the ornaments, we were thinking back about the special ones that we have gotten through mine and Marks 5 1/2 years of marriage and even before that. When it was just me and Jeremy. I took a couple of pictures of the special ones. You can see them below. I know that to some people it's silly, but each one has a special meaning.

4 days till Christmas!!! Counting today. Hope your shopping is all done. Mines not.

Bye

Our Family Ornament. I think we got it in 1999 or 2000. It has taken a beating. It is made out of dough and baked.  Posted by Hello

Never forget...Jesus is the reason for the season. Jeremy and I got this one when it was just us and it has been very special ever since. It has been on our tree for 10 years or more. Posted by Hello
