Snow Plows...got to love em!!

Last night about 8:00 p.m. it started lightly snowing. By the time we went to bed it had started sticking and was snowing much harder. I tend to get up a lot during the night and every time I got up it was steadily snowing. This morning when we woke up there was about 4-5 maybe 6 inches on the ground.

The snow is amazing. At night when there is snow on the ground, the whole world seems to glow. I promise you, you would not need a flash light if you went outside. It is so bright. So beautiful.

So, we got up this morning and got ready for church. Mark, bless his heart went out and shoveled the snow off the walks and a place for her royal hiness to go outside. So, we got in the car and trudged up the snow covered drive-way. It wasn't necessarily slippery, just covered. So, we got to the top of the driveway and Mark said, "plows have been through". They had come by and plowed the highway. Well, when they plow the highway, it piles the snow up in front of driveways and intersections. Then another vehicle comes through and removes it from the streets. NOT THE DRIVEWAYS!! So, Mark waited for a break in the so called traffic and then hit it. Yes, we got stuck. Not for long, (he's done this before) he backed it up, charged forward again. He kept doing this until we were on the shoulder where it was clear. I thought it was fun. He thought it was frusterating. Ok. We decided it's better to take the jeep out in this kind of weather. So, this morning when we got in the car to go to church there was no wind. It was actually nice and I could have probably stayed outside and played in the snow. But, when we were sitting in church the wind picked up and you could see the snow blowing. We are supposed to get 30 - 40 mph winds today. It just blew the front door open a little. (We have a storm door and then a wooden door. The wooden door opened.) I have decided that yes, it does get cold here, but it's bad cold when the wind is blowing 20, 30 or 40 mph!!! Thank goodness I have a warm coat!

It's still snowing. Supposed to until I think Wednesday. Then clear Wednesday and high of 35 and then boom. It's back until...well, they haven't said until when. But at least until the next MOnday. Guess Jeremy will get his snow!!! It is supposed to snow all day next Saturday. Say a little prayer that his flight is safe.
