Christmas with the Federal Government

Tonight we went to the VA Employee Christmas Party. The food was great. The only complaint I had was, actually all over the UP in any restaurant that we have gone to is smoking. I know that more and more in Houston that they have cut out smoking in the restaurants. Not here! I die if I am in it too much. So, we went in and sat down in the area where the food was served. NO SMOKING. Wow, I could breath!!!

THere was a bit bias on the "Name That Tune" game. Needless to say, Mark's team didn't win. There were door prizes and a 50/50 drawing and again...we didn't win anything. Oh well. Then, after dinner and the games there was a band that played. They were EXCELLENT. They played a little bit of everything. My favorite was the Rap of The Theme from the Beverly Hillbillies. It was great! I also danced with my husband for the first time. EVER!! I love to dance. He never has. Until tonight!!! Not bad either. When we were dancing to a faster song though he was giggly because he was embarrassed. Got to love him!!! I only wish I would have brought the camera because there is one in every crowd. There was a full sized cut out of the Coca-Cola Santa and this woman grabbed it and danced with it to every song. Oh my. We laughed so hard. It was a great evenening. I met a lot of people and the Chief of Staff. He has promised to take me out on his yacht on the Great Lakes fishing. OH BOY OH BOY!!!
