It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Let me tell you my two funny little stories...
First one...The Graebel Movers guy came today to take away all of the boxes that we had unpacked and left outside beside the house. Mark called and told them that they had better come and get them because they were getting rained on and snowed on. So they finally came today to get them. Well of course our big bad guard dog Heidi heard the guy moving around outside so she had to sit here and growl and bark everyonce in a while just to let him know who was boss. So, after he left I put her on her lead and out the lake door she ran...surveying her territory and making sure it was all still there. As she ran out, there was a flock of about 10 BIG geese in front (lake) of the neighbors house near the lake. When she ran out, they flew and landed on the lake. Well, the lake is starting to freeze over and they were walking on the lake. It was so cool. I grabbed the camera and you can see the pictures below. I have never seen a goose that close up, nor have I have seen them stand on the lake!
Ok, next story...I e-mailed Mark (he was busy with an employee who quit yesterday and he was having to do paperwork and stuff and couldn't talk on the phone.) and told him I was going to Peking (the best chinese in town, which isn't saying a whole lot, but it's decent.) and would he like to meet me there in about 15 minutes. He called me back and said yes. So, we met and ate and he was going to K-mart to get some stuff (YES TEXANS WE STILL HAVE K-MART!!) for the office for Christmas and I was going to Wal-mart to pick up a few things and get a present for Mark. So, I get to Wal-mart, driving carefully because it was only about 25 and I didn't want to slide on any ice. (there wasn't any anyway.) So, I go in and am doing my thing, finish and go up to the register, look out and it's solid white!!! The snow was coming down hard!!! All I could think was "My goodness, how am I ever going to get home!!" I didn't panic. I went out (forgot a bag that Mark had to go and get) and put the stuff in the car, started it so it could be warming up, turned on the rear window defroster and got out my snow and ice thing and got the snow off the back window. I learned a very good lesson, do not roll down the windows to get the snow off because it will fall in to the car. Then I prayed "Dear Lord please let me get home safely." So, I drove home in the falling snow and didn't slide one time!!! It was great. A little unerving because you have to really think ahead and slow down way before you get to the lights, bumpers of other cars and people. I did excellent. When I got home, I put the car in park and said "Thank you Jesus!!!". I came inside and put Heidi on her lead and let her out and noticed that the lake is covered with snow!!! It's beautiful. (see pictures below). It is still coming down quite steadily. I guess this will really pile up. I can't wait to make a snow angel.
See ya!!
P.s. The pictures of the bedrooms are working now. I don't know what the deal was. I guess they were having problems.
Bye!
