Deer Stories and More

Well, Mark and I went driving this afternoon, just looking around and looking over the country and small towns. I still like Norway the best. Anyway, we were going down a road, kind of a country road, but not far from the city...this place is weird...anyway, you can be in the country on one road and be in the town the next. Ok...anyway, there was a deer in these people's front yard eating. It didn't even run when we stopped to take it's picture. I told Mark that must be their pet. Ok...after he stopped laughing at me, he said no, it is probably wild. I was still skeptical until we were driving a little further and lo and behold there was another one in someones back yard!!! Ok, so I am convinced now that these are wild and they are EVERYWHERE!!! As we were coming down the highway home, Mark pulled over and we looked in the woods and there was the biggest deer I had ever seen. It was too dark to take pictures by that time. Mark said it was a buck. It was at the edge of the woods and the females were out in the open eating. There were probably 9 or 10. It is so amazing.

Ok...animal sightings for this trip....Lots of deer, two grey squirrels...one almost lost his life to our Jeep. A bird that Mark says is an Egret. It was VERY big and standing in the middle of the road. When Mark honked the horn, it flew off leaving a 6 foot stream of poo....it was really funny. And then we saw another chipmonk.

Oh yeah, when we came home tonight there were two deer at the end of the drive right passed the condo. COOOOOOOOOL!!

Ok...see ya!
