Driving throught the UP

We went to Marquette today where University of Northern Michigan is. It is right on Lake Superior. Beautiful town. Beautiful campus. Took a few pictures to show Jeremy. He will come up for Christmas and if the roads aren't too bad we will go back.

The drive through the Upper Peninsula was beautiful. The leaves are really starting to change and it looks like fire. The Michiganders call the Upper Peninsula the UP. The people (us now) are called Uppers pernounced "youpers". People who live in regular Michigan, across the Mackinac Bridge (the mainland) are called Trolls because they live under the bridge.

Anyway, the drive was beautiful. My wildlife count now is 1.) Many Deer 2.) Chipmunk 3.) Bats 4.) Grey Squirrel 5.) Mole 6.) Wild Turkeys. What will I see next??????

I guess that's all for now. It has been cool all day. It was actually cold this morning and there was ice on the cars. We left with jackets on, took them off around 1 and put them back on before we got home. I would say it is about 50 right now. There are supposed to be snow flurries tomorrow night. We'll see.

Bye from the UP!
