Happy 40th - Mom and Dad

My wonderful parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary yesterday, September 30. I called to wish them a happy one and mom said that they got up, wished each other happy anniversary, kissed then dad went out to start mowing and she got ready to go visit her cousin in the hospital and to go to Wal-mart. Don't you love the way they celebrate? I can't ever remember them celebrating. Hopefully they will make their 60th. It may seem strange that they have been married for 40 years and I am 43...get this...I have a brother who will be 50! Actually, mom and dad were married in 1966. Buddy is my step-dad but he has raised me since I was 3 years old and he is the one that I look at as my dad. My real dad died on Feb. 2, 1986. But, anyway, I love my mom and dad so much and wish I could have been with them today when my sister and her family and some other family members joined them for a nice dinner that mom prepared.
Oh well. Take care. HAPPY ANNIVESARY MOM & DAD!! I love and miss you! I had a really good picture of them but I can't find it so I had to settle for this one.

Well I had to check out the 2 comments. I just knew that they would be wonderful words of praise on us celebrating our 40th. Must say I was disappointed and my pride went before my fall.
P.S. no kiss and pat, pat, pat. Just "I love you". We celebrated our 25th. Did you forget? Thanks to our kids for that celebration. That one probably got a kiss and a pat, pat, pat.
