"There's Something in Our House"
That's what Mark said Thursday night as we were sitting on our bed getting ready to watch a movie. He has a perfect view to the living room from his side of the bed and of course when he said that I asked "WHAT?" Come to find out, there was a bat flying around in our living room. LOVELY!!!! Well, when I think of bat, I being the pesimistic person that I am, always think the worse and think it has rabies or God knows what kind of diseases!!! So, Mark went out in to the living room and I kept Heidi and Abby in the bedroom with me, with the door shut and a blanket at the bottom of the door. After about 10 minutes I opened the door a crack and said "Have you got it?" He said no...be quiet!! Apparently, Mr. Bat doesn't like my voice and when I would talk it would fly. Must be that southern accent...Mr. Yankee Bat doesn't like it. How prejudiced can you get??? Anyway, so I shut the door and was, what I thought a whisper told Heidi to get back. Mark hushly yelled, "Robbyn, shut up!!!". Mark would almost have him and then i would talk and whoosh...gone again. Anyway....so, it finally flew through the kitchen and down to the basement. Well....even though it was a beautiful, cool night, we had to sleep with the door shut and the blanket at the bottom of the door and when I got up at 1:30 a.m. to go to the bathroom....I woke Mark up to go out the door first. I know....sillly. Oh well....so I decided that Mark was going to stay home from work on Friday or I was going to volunteer. So, I went to the VA. I came a little later in my car. Anyway, when we were leaving, Mark had to do a little shopping for the VA and so I went home. I told him I would be sitting in the drive-way when he got there. Well, I decided to be brave and tried to get in the front door but it seems my key doesn't open it. Great...so, I had to go in the back door that is by the steps to the basement. Oh man!! So, I unlocked the door and of course Heidi is there jumping up and down. So I opened the door and looked around, stepped in and went in to the kitchen, looked around and then went in to the living room, looked around and me and Heidi went out the front door. I sat outside for about 10 minutes and I decided that I wasn't going to let this silly bat run me out of my house. Yeah, I'm brave in the daylight. Anyway, so I came back in and there were a few dishes in the sink, washed them. Straightened up the living room and turned on the TV. Mark got home and we went outside and looked around the house to see if we could possibly figure out where it came in at. So, then Mark went downstairs and poked around and he came back up and said that the bat is not down there. Then he looked up in the attic and BINGO he was hanging on a rafter near the north end of the attic. Stupid bat. Anyway, so Mark called the landlord who said if we found it he would come get it. So, Dick came and went up in the attic and almost had it but instead it flew out a little hole in the boards. (Which needs to be plugged up!!!) Anyway, so hopefully it's gone. (We slept with the door shut again last night.)
So...there ya go. A day or two in the life. Enjoy!
I still haven't figured out how to add a picture in my post...if anyone knows...please let me know. I've tried.
See ya! Happy 4th!

To put a picture in a post you have to first post the picture in a seperate post. Then you go to edit post and copy the image source. Then you go to the post that you want the picture in and paste the html that you copied. I usually put it at the beginning of a new paragrah. You do have to add some html to the beginning and ending of the pasted source. Then publish and it should be there. Then you go back and delete the original picture post.Hope this helps.
Blogger comments will not let me write the html for the beginning and end. It keeps telling my tag is broken when I try to publish the comment. Sorry.
