"Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow!!"
We are getting our first January snow. We are lucky. We just got the edge of the big snow storm that went through Wisconsin and Illinois. Greenbay got 6 inches or so. A little south of Green Bay in Appleton, they got 9 inches. It was barely snowing this morning when we got up but it picked up as the system has gone by. It is slacking off again. It's a steady snow. Kind of like a steady rain, except snow. I'm sure the ski lodges and snowmobilers are happy around here. I don't think we will get more than an inch though. It's supposed to stop by noon.
According to the weather channel web site it is 9 here right now and feels like 3. My handy dandy indoor/outdoor digital thermometer (best thing we have ever bought) says that it is 15 outside and a nice and toasty 75 in here. I just turned the heater off.
The kerosene heater is so great. Doesn't cost but about 40 dollars a month, which is a lot better than the propane. We sleep with the furnace on at night and then it is off much of the day. We are hoping that will save gas and electricity!!
Well, it looks like it might be coming down a little harder now. I just talked to Mark's sister online and she said they got 6'' and it is still coming down. They live down state right in the middle of Michigan. I told her that it seems funny that when we moved up here people were talking about how much more snow the U. P. gets than down state and they have gone well passed us on the inches totals.
I guess that's it for my snowy report. I have dishes that need to be put away and things I should be doing. Take care....
